It's not on the ocean, but it borders the Patapsco River, and the Inner Harbor inlet is one of the city's best hubs of destinations with a view. I think the best way to view the harbor is with a seat at the Rusty Scupper, the best waterfront restaurant in Maryland. This old-school seafood house has been a destination in Baltimore for over 30 years, and when the sun goes down, it promises one of the most incredible views you can find in the entire state.

The menu should be familiar but it still packs some big surprises. The lump crab cakes here are among the best in Maryland, as they should be as one of the state's signature dishes. If you want some perfectly grilled fish, you can choose to have it simply grilled with a lemon butter blanc, Asian-style with udon noodles, or Maryland-style topped with lump crab. And, of course, there are steaks available for the landlubbers.
The restaurant is surrounded by windows, so you'll have an amazing view of the Inner Harbor, one of the best spots in Maryland for sitting by the water and watching the sunset. It's the perfect way to end the day on a Baltimore vacation.

Why We Love It: It's taken several trips for me to figure out my perfect "weekender bag that's TSA approved," but I've found my perfect carry on with the TOBIQ Colorado 30L. Why I Love It: Fact: Airplanes are notoriously dry, dry, dry. No matter how much water I drink both before and during the flight, I always find myself in a hydration deficit for days.
