Another bonus is that you can visit them all within a day, because they're only an hour drive apart! Hop in the car and prepare to explore three covered bridges in Maryland. You'll find one at Baker Park in Frederick and the other two at Patapsco Valley State Park in the Orange Grove / Grist Mill area in Elkridge.
The one at Baker Park in Frederick is a bit hidden. You'll find it right off of Carroll Parkway.
Make your way down the stairs and cross this magical structure. This is also a great spot for photo ops.
And don't forget to check out the local signage to learn a little bit of history about the area.
Now hop back in the car and drive about an hour to Patapsco Valley State Park. Park at the Orange Grove area and enjoy walking across the first covered bridge there.
Marvel at the pretty views down below...
...and then continue walking up Grist Mill Trail. After about two miles, you'll find Grist Mill Walking Bridge.
