When it comes to eating in New England, few things are better than the homey foods of Maine. Whether it’s dining dockside, restaurants with incredible views or delicious cider donuts, food here in the Vacationland is pretty great. But, the only thing better than great food here is lots of great food here! For that, head to the best buffets in Maine. We can almost guarantee you won’t go home hungry!

1. Oxford Casino, Oxford

If you like being kept on your toes, you can come to the Oxford Casino buffet every day of the week for a different theme. If you prefer to take a gamble (see what we did there?) stop reading here. If you like to be prepared, know that the Thursday lunch buffet Lunch Buffet will be free if you can manage to earn at least 100 Tier is free if you score 100 Tier Points before 12 p.m. Friday night is prime rib night where you can choose from prime rib, turkey, or ham with other sides from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. for under $25. 2. Harraseeket Inn, Freeport

This buffet in Freeport is not only extensive, but it's delicious. From sweet to savory, the food here will cover any craving you have. We love the Sunday brunch which includes lobster and other local seafood. If you're a guest, access is free. But, if you're coming just for a meal you'll still find it a bargain at under $20 a head. 3. East Restaurant Lounge, Wells

This is a great place for people who love a variety of different Asian foods, but don't want to have to choose just one. Here you'll find Chinese, Japanese and Thai food. Breakfast is great, lunch runs from noon to 3 p.m. and dinner begins just after that and goes until they close. Check them out at: 636 Post Rd., Wells / 207-641-8788.

4. Southern Maine Community College, South Portland

This is one of the best hidden gems in Maine! The Oceanview Dining Hall is open to the public and offers views of Casco Bay, the Atlantic Ocean and the most incredible food. The buffet is under $10 and offers tons of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu is always changing to go a few times a week to really experience all they have to offer. 5. Super Great Wall Buffet, South Portland

This spot has been feeding local Mainers for more than 17 years. They've got tons of Chinese dishes along with some great sushi options. For a more defined meal, check out their hibachi area. They're located at: 198 Maine Mall Rd, South Portland / 207-775-6655.

6. Panda Garden, Auburn

It's party time when you order one of the fancy cocktails here! If you'd rather stick with tradition, you'll love the lunch buffet between Monday and Saturday. They also have a dinner buffet on the weekends. Visit them at: 245 Center St., Auburn / 207-783-7755.

7. Hibachi Supreme Buffet, Waterville

If you want simple and traditional buffet, this is your pot. They're open every day with the exception of Tuesday and food is either Chinese or American. Visit them at: 350 Kennedy Memorial Dr., Waterville / 207-873-2188.

8. Ricettas, Falmouth

As a departure from some of the others on this list, dig into some buffet pizza for lunch at RIcetta's. From 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m you'll find lots of thin crust options, along with some great desserts. They're located at: 240 US Route 1, Unit A, Falmouth / 207-781-3100.

9. Epic Buffet, Hollywood Casino, Bangor

This Epic Buffet (literally, that's the name) will keep you full throughout the weekend. They're open Friday and Saturday for dinner and again on Sunday for brunch. They've got lots of the old favorites you'll find in any good buffet, plus local seafood. You can't go wrong! They're located at: 500 Main St., Hollywood Casino, Bangor / 207-974-3502.

You might be surprised that one of the most fun restaurants in Maine doesn't focus on seafood. This bacon-themed restaurant is one of the most unique and, like these buffets, it certainly won't send you home hungry!
