Are you on the hunt for the perfect pizza? Well, look no further, because we’ve found an amazing little pizza restaurant in Louisiana that’s serving up pizza that’s almost too pretty to eat. This wood-fired pizza has the perfect crispy crust with dough made in house every day, and all the freshest ingredients that add up to one of the best pizzas you’ll ever eat. Let’s check it out.
Wildwood Pizza has two locations in Louisiana.
Their original location Alexandria opened in 2014 and their newest location in Baton Rouge just opened their doors in 2019 much to the delight of locals looking for a tasty pizza.
Locally owned and operated, Wildwood seamlessly blends a quirky decor with a rustic atmosphere to make you feel just like one of the family.
Owner Gary Perkins, who also owned Baton Rouge’s iconic Louie’s Cafe in the shadows of LSU, has created a beautiful space that you’ll fall in love with from the moment you step inside. And that’s before you even try a slice!
Their specialty wood-fired oven is what takes this pizza from good to great.
And that’s how they get that extra crispy crust that everyone loves.
The menu is full of specialty pizzas that will blow your taste buds away.
Whether you’re a Hawaiian pizza lover or just want to enjoy a classic pepperoni, there’s a pizza for everyone.
All of the pizzas are 10-inches, making them the perfect solo pie.
But if you go with a group, get a few different pizzas to share so you can try a little of everything.
You can also build your own pizza from the crust up for a one-of-a-kind creation.
Select your crust and your favorite six toppings and you’re ready to rock.
More than just pizza, Wildwood also offers several salads that are equally tasty.
These aren’t your below-average salads, either. Greek salads, roasted chicken salads, and shrimp and avocado salads are just a few of the yummy greens you can chow down on.
For more information, including their hours of operation and a full menu for both locations, be sure to check out their website and give them a follow on Facebook.
