Are you ready for the most frightening adventure of your life? Every year, Scout Island resurrects to form one of the scariest haunted houses in New Orleans. But it's more than just a haunted attraction, the 160-acre park is designed with families in mind, so you can bring the little ones and save the spooks and scares for an evening with adults. Let's take a closer look.
You’ll find Scout Island Scream Park nestled within New Orleans City Park.
Their address is 1034 Harrison Avenue. Featuring 160-acres, this is easily one of the largest haunted attractions in the area.
More than just a haunted house, this Halloween Festival is full of frights, thrills, and family activities.
A little something for everyone!
For the youngsters, you can head over to the Kid Zone.
This area is a scare-free zone, so it’s great for families with kids of all ages. Here, kids can enjoy the Haunted Mansion bounce house, dozens of carnival rides, face painting, and more. There’ll also be magical entertainment featuring The BOOGIE SPOOKTAKULAR, an animated cartoon musical adventure the little ones will surely love.
You can also hop an open-air hayride for a quintessential fall experience.
Nothing propels you into fall faster than a good old fashioned hayride! The tractor-pulled wagon will take you through the wooded swamp perimeter, all scare-free.
At night, things change…
Get ready to scream, because once you step out of the scare-free zone, you’re in for the fright of a life.
There are multiple haunted attractions at Scout Island.
It's 160-acres filled to the brim with both fright zones and haunted houses.
Most of the attractions open at 6 p.m., but be sure to check their website for a specific attraction.
You can purchase either all-access tickets that will allow you unlimited entry to multiple attractions, or you can just purchase tickets for a specific haunt.
There are both Fright Zones and Haunted Houses.
Fright Zones are essentially open-air haunted houses that are set up in the open areas around the island. Themed actors will be roaming the area, so be on the lookout—you never know where they’ll be!
If you’re looking for haunted houses, well they have plenty of those too.
The Devil’s Swamp, Zombie Outbreak, and Pharaoh’s Fury are all designed with fear in mind and will give you a surefire adrenaline boost for the night.
