Life in New Orleans is unlike any other. If you have ever had to leave the Big Easy for a while, then you know how hard it is. Our city gets under your skin, making it hard to live anywhere else. Between the mouthwatering Cajun food, the music, the people, and everything in between, you’ll truly miss living in New Orleans. Here are some things anyone who has ever moved away from New Orleans has thought. Let us know if you can relate to any of them.
1) I need a po-boy right now.
Can they figure out how to mail them?
2) When is Mardi Gras this year?
Maybe I can plan a trip this year in time for the parades.
3) Have these people ever heard of spices?
This is one of the most bland things I’ve ever tried. What about onions or garlic...or pepper?
4) Why are the people around here so rude?
I miss New Orleans.
5) This beat is so…boring.
Can we jazz this up a bit?
6) Why can’t I just have a to-go cup?
I feel so trapped, I want to go home!
7) Where are the brass instruments in this band?
I’m sorry, guitar, bass, and drum just doesn’t cut it most of the time.
8) I miss the live oak trees.
The trees are truly one of a kind.
9) I can’t believe there is nowhere I can buy a drink right now.
That’s right, when you are used to it being available 24/7, it can be hard to adjust.
