Louisiana has more festival than you can shake a stick at. From early fall to late spring, there’s practically a festival taking place every weekend somewhere in Louisiana. Perhaps we should change our nickname from the Pelican State to the Festival State?
There’s a brand new festival taking place in a couple of weeks that you’re not going to miss. This new hot air balloon festival in Louisiana is guaranteed to be a family-friendly festival that kids and adults of all ages will love. Mark your calendars, because the Glow in the Cro Balloon Festival is not to be missed.
Carencro’s inaugural Glow in the Cro Festival will take place August 30-31, 2019, and you’re not going to want to miss it.
Gates open at 4 p.m. on Friday, August 30th and admission is $5 per person.
The festival will feature carnival rides, an arts & crafts market, plenty of food vendors, and live music from local musicians.
Thrill-seekers can purchase a carnival ride bracket for $25 and ride enjoy non-stop fun from their favorite adrenaline-inducing rides.
There will be 20 hot air balloons on display and available for rides.
For anyone looking to take to the skies, hot air balloon flights will be offered Saturday, August 31st and Sunday, September 1 at 6:30 a.m.
You’ll want to stick around until dusk, as that’s when the balloon glow begins.
True to the festival’s name, roughly 20 hot air balloons will illuminate the sky eat night at 7:30 p.m.
If you’ve never seen a hot air balloon glow before, you’re in for a treat. It’s quite the peaceful and mesmerizing experience, and the young ones will especially love it.
