We all know summers in Louisiana can be pretty brutal. When you want to get outdoors, but not face the intense heat head-on, a float trip with your friends is just the ticker. Tubing in Louisiana is a wonderful way to cool down and have some fun with loved ones while enjoying the beautiful natural landscape that Louisiana has to offer.
If you're looking for a fun outdoor activity that the whole family will enjoy, then head over to the Bogue Chitto Tubing Center.
Founded in 1987, the Bogue Chitto Tubing Center is the oldest (and cheapest) tubing facility in the area.
You can purchase either a two hour or a four float trip.
Just keep in mind that float times will take longer if you stop to enjoy the beaches and the scenery. You'll want to get out every now and then and go for a swim or stretch your legs.
You don't have to worry about transportation, they've taken care of everything. They’ll drop you off with your tubes and then you can head down the water with your friends and family.
Don't forget a cooler, you'll want to bring some cold beverages and snacks for the trip.
On a beautiful day, you can sit back and float down the river and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
There's nothing like it!
There are several beaches along the way that you can stop at to walk around.
The beaches are a perfect spot to enjoy lunch, so bring some sandwiches and chips to enjoy.
The exit is clearly marked, making it extremely easy to get out of the river.
Just remember to leave only footprints, and never bring any glass on the water.
Address: 10237 South Choctaw Road, Bogalusa, LA, 70427

While you're in the area, pop on over to the Bogue Chitto State Park for even more outdoor adventures. And while we're at it, you might as well make a weekend out of it and stay in some delightfully charming log cabins. Berry Creek Cabins are nearby to the tubing center and offer several different types of lodging. To learn more check out our previous article here.
