Spring is in full-force and hitting the road is a must. Kentucky has some interesting and cool road-side attractions that are worth pulling over for. Here are a collection of some must-sees on your next journey.
1. Flying Saucer "Futuro" House
This little silver saucer is something crazy you'll have to see for yourself, and yes it actually does exist. Located in Covington, KY.
2. Giant T-Rex
Located at exit 53 on Interstate 65, you can witness this giant dinosaur if you pull off the exit. It will also take you to Mammoth Cave National Park and Dinosaur World in Cave City, KY.
3. Kentucky's Stonehenge
In the Cave City area, this attraction is one you can get up close and personal with unlike the one in England. Located in Munfordville, KY.
4. National Corvette Museum Sinkhole
This rare natural occurrence took place inside the museum itself and made it's own history. Go witness what remains of some of those beautiful toys in Bowling Green, KY.
5. Kentucky Rushmore
This 20 by 30 ft mural pays tribute to the Kentucky greats: Muhammad Ali, Colonel Sanders, Abraham Lincoln and the racehorse, Secretariat. Located in Louisville, KY.
6. World's Largest Bourbon Barrel
Go see what Kentuckians are proud of, their bourbon, of course! Located in Bardstown, KY.
7. World's Largest Underpants
Do you really need an explanation for this one, just saying you saw it in person is enough to impress your friends right? Located in Bowling Green, KY.
8. The Great American Dollhouse Museum
See over 200 miniature houses and buildings. It's the only dollhouse museum in America that specializes in U.S. social history in miniature. Located in Danville, KY.
9. Florence Y'all Water Tower
This unique water tower, does in fact say, "Y'all," but other's may have to see for themselves. Located in Florence, KY.
10. World's Largest Crucifix
This outdoor sculpture was built in 1986 and is 60 feet high. Located in Bardstown, KY.
11. World's Largest Bottle of Booze
A bottle of Old Forester bourbon marks where it's made atop this factory. Located in Louisville, KY.
12. House Made Of Coal
Over 42 tons of coal make up this house built in 1926. The Middlesboro Chamber of Commerce now occupy this space. Located in Middlesboro, KY.
13. World Peace Bell
This was once the World's Largest Free-Swinging Bell, it remains elusive and swings and rings daily at 11:55am. Located in Newport, KY.
14. World's Longest Go-Kart Track
Ditch your car and get on a real track at Kart Kountry! Located in Shepherdsville, KY.
15. World's Largest Roll of Sausage
Approximately 12 feet long, although it appears real, it is just a replica of the tasty treat. Located in Simpsonville, KY.
