1. St. Mary's Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption
This cathedral stands out impeccably with the world's largest hand-made stained glass church window. Located in Covington, KY.
2. Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral
This was the first Catholic diocese west of the Allegheny Mountains. Located in Bardstown, Ky.
3. St. James Catholic Church
Established in 1906, this historic church is named in the list of National Register of Historic Places Inventory. Located in Louisville, KY.
4. Tiny Church-Monte Casino Chapel
Deemed the "Smallest Church in the world," by Ripley's. Ok, so this one may not knock your socks off as far as stunning, but it's too cool not to list. On the Thomas More College campus in Crestview Hills, KY.
5. Cathedral of the Assumption
It's the third oldest Catholic Cathedral in the U.S. that's still in use. Located in Louisville, KY.
6. Pine Mountain Settlement School Chapel
Stationed in the mountains of the Appalachia in the Southeastern part of the state, this gorgeous chapel is a beaut to see. Located in Harlan County, KY.
7. Mother of Good Counsel Catholic Church
This large staple in the sky is something to feast your eyes on. Located in Hazard, KY.
8. Georgetown Baptist Church
This Church seems more like a castle and is surely a must-see. Located in Georgetown, KY.
9. Louisville Kentucky Temple
This is the 76th temple dedicated, and you'll have to do some driving through the suburbs to get to it, totally worth it though. Located in Crestwood, KY.
10. St. Louis Bertrand Catholic Church
This Old Roman Catholic parish situated in Old Louisville is under care of the Province of Saint Joseph.
11. Southeast Christian Church
The largest congregation in Kentucky, think that's reason enough to list. Located in Louisville, KY.
12. St. Francis De Sales
Built in 1899, this church was added to the National Register in 1979. Located in Paducah, KY.

13. Old Church Museum
Put together in 1848 as the Methodist Episcopal Church, it became the Old Church Museum in the 1970's and houses nondenominational religious items. Located in Maysville, KY.
14. Third Baptist Church
This building has an interesting way of connecting it's multiple levels all rising from the center inside. Located in Owensboro, KY.
15. Central Christian Church
Built in 1894, it made the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. Located in Lexington, KY.
