The Sunflower State is quite beautiful, and whether you live here or you're just visiting, it's understandable that most of us want to spend plenty of time outdoors. Camping in Kansas is a great option, but for those who aren't too big on roughing it, there are lots of other places where you can enjoy a more luxurious stay while still getting in touch with nature. The lodge in Independence, KS that we're featuring today is one of our favorites. This vacation rental manages to perfectly combine an upscale elegance with rustic charm, and it's also close to several of the area's best attractions. The Remington Ranch Lodge is 2,200 square feet, giving you plenty of room to spread out indoors... but it's right in the middle of 114 acres, so you've certainly got quite a bit of space outside, too!
There's a lot to enjoy here, including a pool table, 80-inch television, and more.
There's a full kitchen with plenty of seating if you'd like to prepare your own meals here instead of dining out.
The four bedrooms can sleep up to 12 guests.
If you're into hunting or fishing, the property is perfect. The three-acre lake that's right outside the door is great for catch-and-releasing fishing. Visit from November through February and you can add on a pheasant and quail hunting package.
