Every once in a while, you just need to get into nature and escape for a bit. The tranquility of being out in a beautiful park in Kansas is a magnificent treat, no matter the season. There are so many great state parks in the Sunflower State, but that doesn’t mean you should ignore our wonderful municipal parks. Many of our city parks have amenities and gorgeous scenery that make them just as perfect of outings as a trip to a state or national park. One of our favorites is the aptly-named Hidden Woods Park in Lenexa, KS. This stunning area has diverse scenery, fun trails, and a pond that the whole family can enjoy. Check it out:

Hidden Woods Park backs up to the west side of Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, a 46-acre graveyard that's quite lovely to walk through. The park itself spans 9.2 acres and is open daily from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
