This tour of sunflowers in Iowa will take about nine hours to complete and cover more than 500 miles. It's a bit of a journey but you won't find a more spectacular excuse for a road trip in the spring.

1. Pheasant Run Farm
The Sunflower Experience at Pheasant Run Farm is the first stop on this tour. If you're in the area and want to know, "Where are there sunflower fields near me?", you'll find the field at the junction of Hwy 30 & 131 at the Belle Plaine exit. The friendly flower farm is perfect for families with young kids and you get to leave with a sunflower!
2. Scarecrow Farm
Another one of the best sunflower fields in Iowa is Scarecrow Farm. When you arrive, be sure to get one of the apple doughnuts. Once you've got that covered, wander through acres and acres of stunning sunflowers and Zinnias.
3. Badger Creek State Recreation Area
You can find gorgeous sunflowers at one of Iowa's state parks. The Badger Creek State Recreation Area has a four-acre field that draws lots of visitors every year. We think it's worth a stop if you want to know, "Where are there sunflowers near me?"
4. Center Grove Orchard
Along with being one of the best sunflower fields in Iowa, you'll find more than 6,000 apple trees at this sprawling orchard in the Hawkeye State.
5. Bloomsbury Farm
Sunflower lovers of all ages will find something to enjoy at Bloomsbury Farm. There are activities for kids, special cocktails for adults, and of course, lots and lots of opportunities to take photos of sunflowers in Iowa.
