Established in 1946, Holiday World is the best amusement park in southern Indiana.
It features both roller coasters and water slides as well as several other types of rides for guests to enjoy.
Video experiences of several of the roller coasters give you a 360-degree view of each ride. How cool is that?
For those who are not typically fans of these sorts of rides, you may find that these videos offer a less intense way to enjoy them.
1. Thunderbird Roller Coaster
Go from zero to 60 miles an hour in 3.5 seconds on this steel roller coaster that is the fastest in the park. If your stomach isn't quite made of steel, you might find that this virtual experience is more enjoyable. Featuring multiple loops, rolls, twists, and turns, this is the nation's only launched wing coaster.
2. The Raven
This wooden roller coaster features surprise drops, a 120-foot tunnel, and a trip over Lake Rudolph. It's a scenic video and ride as well as an exciting one.
3. The Legend
The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow is the theme of this coaster that takes riders through the woods as the headless horseman chases. It has five tunnels and a dramatic drop of 113 feet.
4. The Voyage
This wooden coaster has been rated number one in the country by TIME Magazine. It is one of the longer wooden coasters in the nation stretching 1.2 miles and featuring five underground tunnels as well as three sections of 90-degree banking.
5. Cheetah Chase
Coming in the summer of 2020 is a new ride that combines roller coasters and water slides. The park already offers a virtual, 360-degree video of this ride so you can see what it will be like. This water-powered coaster will have 1,700 feet of track and synchronize with the other rafts going through it.
