Few people know that Indiana's second-largest city is home to so much free art. Fort Wayne features more than a few giant public art displays that constitute a painted murals trail, which you're bound to love if you enjoy a good treasure hunt. Check it out:
These unique murals are sprinkled throughout a popular city in the northeast corner of the Hoosier state where residents tend to enjoy the simple life. Few know, though, that many businesses, museums, roadways, and other corners of Fort Wayne are painted with colorful artwork.
Some are found on the sides of buildings. At The Pint N Slice, you'll find a couple of murals that feature psychedelic critters that you won't want to pull your eyes away from. Thank goodness for cameras.

One of the most unique pieces on the painted murals trail is this crosswalk that leads to the entrance of the Arts United, an art museum. This is certainly one of the most interactive art pieces in the city.

One of the oldest and most iconic murals in Fort Wayne runs along the Old Fort Trail. If you've been around this part of the city, you may not have even realized you were looking at a mural as it almost looks like graffiti.

Many murals are associated with bars and restaurants, such as this one on the side of a tiny dive bar that is known for its live rock shows. It has been around for more than 60 years and is well-loved by the locals.

Businesses like Tobias Studios at the corner of Wells and Fourth Streets in downtown Fort Wayne are covered in paint, making the entire thing a mural. You'll want to walk or drive around this building several times.
