However, if you're looking for some ideas on your trek to find the best ice cream in Indiana, you will definitely want to give every one of these a try:
1. LiftOff Creamery, Indianapolis
Liftoff Creamery is an Indianapolis staple, with an astonishing 120 flavors of gourmet ice cream on a rotating schedule.
At any given time, the ice cream shop has 25 flavors on hand, and some of the best ones are probably Banana Pudding, Oreo, and the delectable Black Cherry. We can't decide. You probably won't be able to, either.
Address: 111 East 16th Street, Suite 105, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46202
2. PaddyShack Ice Cream, Granger
PaddyShack is a family-owned and -operated dream come true; their ice cream has won awards, and honestly, it's not at all surprising.
This place prides itself on producing some of the best ice cream in the Midwest, with some absolutely delectable flavors, like salted caramel, Mackinac Island Fudge, and even plenty of sugar-free options, too!

3. Square Scoop, Indianapolis
Square Scoop, in the heart of Indy, also has a rotating flavor selection, so you'll have to keep coming back to try them all.
Other than the insanely good ice cream, the shop also has some awesome old-school candy to really drive that childhood nostalgia home. It's not open on Sundays, though, so keep that in mind while planning your trip.
Address: 1028 Virginia Avenue, Suite 100, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46203
4. The Ice Cream Vault, Andrews
The Ice Cream Vault is a simple-looking, no-frills place, but don't let that fool you.

5. Vanilla Bean Creamery, Elkhart
Just like classic ice cream parlors of the past, Vanilla Bean Creamery prides itself on having an amazing Flavor of the Week every single week.
And amazing it is - we don't think there's creamier ice cream in the state. Some of their more creative flavors include mouth-watering picks like Peanut Butter Oreo and Coffee Brownie Swirl. They're closed on Mondays, so plan accordingly.
