If you're one of those folks who's always looking for a new way to enjoy the outdoors (same), then you're speaking our language. The Blue River is easily one of the most beautiful places in Indiana - and there's so much of it to explore! What better way to do this than by, say, canoe? That's where Cave Country Canoes comes in. Explore this amazing stretch of Indiana riverbanks in a way you've never seen before. There are several options for curating your adventure perfectly - let us know which way you plan to enjoy it! If you've never been canoeing in Indiana... now is the time.
The Blue River is a 57-mile-long river that runs through three counties (Harrison, Crawford, and Washington).
Along the way, it passes through various amazing landscapes, from woods and forests to gorgeous wetlands and everything in between.
Cave Country Canoes offers both canoeing (of course), and kayaking.
There is one person per kayak, or up to two people per canoe.
Take your pick from a host of options, like the Camping Experience, the Full Day Experience, or the Half-Day experience.
Each has all sorts of benefits and "pros" to it, and we think you'll want to work your way up to the full day trip if you can!
The Half Day Trip is a seven-mile adventure through riffles, rapids, and more.
You're able to paddle at your own pace, so you can really take your time and enjoy the incredibly stunning natural surroundings. This adventure take three to five hours.
The Full Day Trip is recommended only for experienced paddlers, as it's a 14-mile journey (and takes about five to seven hours).
Of course, should you want to make it an overnight thing, there's always the Camping Experience, with 12 electric and primitive campsites to choose from (and a covered wagon campsite for extra fun).
At the time of this writing, Camping Experiences start at $20, Half-Day Trips start at $43, and Full Day Trips start at $48.
The possibilities are only as limited as your imagination, and you're sure to discover so many amazing new places on this once-in-a-lifetime journey.
...okay, maybe it's not once in a lifetime. After all, you can go again (and again), and you'll probably want to! For all the details to begin planning your epic adventure ASAP, you'll want to visit the official Cave Country Canoes website to get started.
