Taking place over two days in September later this year at Buck Lake Ranch, there is going to be an outstanding two-day event that will take you back to the 1960s and 1970s. Featuring music, dancing, a vintage car show, and lots of tie-dye, this is an event that no spirit child should miss.
The dates of the event are September 14-15, 2019, and it takes place in the northeast corner of the state where nature lovers and hippies already naturally flock. The land of 101 lakes is the perfect place for this groovy fest.
There are actually several of these events taking place around the country. It's hippie nation out there.
The event lasts from noon to 7 p.m. each day and tickets are required to enter. A one-day pass for either day is just $10 while a two-day pass is $15. Kids age 10 and under many enter for free without a ticket.
If you wish to enjoy both days and camp overnight, you can purchase a $30 ticket. Tents, campers, and RVs are permitted, but you'll only have access to primitive camping with restrooms and porta-potties nearby. Fire pits will be available and charcoal grills are allowed.
One of the main attractions to this hippie fest are its vendors. Bohemian shopping abounds at this unique event. Find tapestries, sun dresses and other clothing, head bands, jewelry, dream catchers, flags, scarves, drums, candles, incense, art work, handmade soaps and lotions, flowers and other plants, and so much more.
If you are a vendor yourself, there is still time to register for space. Check the website (link below) for more details about how to be apart of this event.
Another huge draw to this festival is the Hippie Car Show. You'll get to witness some of the grooviest, funkiest, and most psychedelic Volkswagen vehicles in the area.
