Brown County State Park is often called Indiana's most beautiful region; no matter where you look, you're sure to find article after article about its transfixing beauty (as well as plenty of guides about how to make the most of it). The park offers year-round camping and lodging; some of that lodging comes in the form of a group of delightful and affordable cabins, each type offering different amenities for different needs. If you're looking for some great cabins in Indiana, you'll definitely want to look into the family of cabins at Brown County State Park; they offer up a front-row seat to the Hoosier State's most enchanting landscapes.
Brown County State Park was established in 1929 and is well-known for its amazing views and breathtaking, photogenic scenes that persist no matter which part of the park you're exploring.
It's the largest of Indiana's 24 state parks, coming in at an impressive 15,776 acres of complete perfection.
No matter which season you visit, you're sure to be taken aback by the array of stunning landscapes all over the grounds.
It's undoubtedly a nature enthusiast's dream come true. Heck, even if you're not a big "outdoorsy" type of person, you'll still find something (or many somethings) to fall in love with.
If you want to spend the night (or longer), there are several types of cabins available for reservation.
They book up incredibly fast, so you'll want to plan your visit well in advance. For example, pictured above is an example of the "Family Housekeeping" cabins, of which there are 20. They have two floors, two bedrooms, and a full kitchen; they sleep about eight people comfortably. They are open year-round and feature heating and air conditioning.
...and then you've got the Cabin Suites, of which there are 12.
These spacious suites are furnished and come with a mini fridge, coffee pot, microwave, and can comfortably sleep about six.
Another option: the seasonal Rustic Cabins, which each contain two to four rooms and were built in the 1930s.
These are your most motel-like option, and are open seasonally from April 1 to Oct. 31.
It doesn't really matter what time of year you decide to come check out Brown County State Park; it's really just a matter of when!
