Visit the city zoo in Fort Wayne for a wonderful experience that you’ll never forget. Just about any wild animal that you could possibly want to meet is waiting for you here. Lions, bears, monkeys, penguins, sharks, and everything in-between lives in this one place. Check it out:
The Fort Wayne Children's Zoo in northeast Indiana has been one of the most popular attractions in the area since it opened in 1965, and though it had to close for a few months due to an outbreak COVID-19, it is officially open again beginning this month.
Mornings are reserved for zoo members who reserve tickets for timed slots. All the animals that are typically out and about are still on display at this time.
Go far below the sea, deep into caves, to the African Sahara, and all the way down under to Australia to meet the kangaroos. You'll also find yourself deep in the rain forest as well as in the arctic with the penguins and polar bears.
Some exhibits are interactive, letting you walk through worlds that resemble the actual places they are themed after. Further, feedings, shows, and other events take place throughout the park.
You can feed giraffes, goats, as well as the ducks near the petting zoo, and live shows include seals, dolphins, and more.
The city zoo also offers rides such as trains, pony rides, a carousel, a safari ride, and a river canoe ride. You won't be able to help but make a full day out of visiting this wonderful place.
Restaurants are available throughout the park and picnic space is also available.
The Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo is currently open to the public daily between 12 p.m. and 7 p.m., and you can get more details on its website or Facebook page. If you’ve ever been to this city zoo, we’d love to hear from you. Please share your experiences and photos with us below in the comments.
