There's no doubt that flea markets are the ultimate playgrounds for bargain hunters, collectors, and those seeking their next second-hand treasures. And while we have many favorite outdoor flea markets and swap meets around Illinois, there's nothing quite like the shop-till-you-drop action you can find at the massive Kane's County Flea Market in Saint Charles just outside of Chicago.

Are you ready to embark on a bargain shopping extravaganza at one of the largest flea markets in the Prairie State? Kane County Flea Market had its start in 1967 and, over time, earned the reputation of being the "Best in the Midwest or Anywhere."

Shows are held rain or shine at the fairgrounds on the first Sunday of every month from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. along with the preceding Saturday from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m. Daily admission is just $6 while parking is free.

3 French Hens is one of the many choices for great shopping in this state filled with charming, small towns. Especially when it comes to antiques, plenty of local boutiques and markets serve as treasure troves of vintage gems. Sometimes I love to research what markets are open and take a short day trip to explore the grounds. So when I discovered this country flea market in Morris, Illinois that had not only great antiques, but also fantastic food, flowers, and more, I immediately added it to my bucket list.

The 3 French Hens Country Market is located just over an hour away southwest of Chicago in the small town of Morris in Grundy County.

The market is set up just north of the Arthur Visitors Center on the corner of Progress and Vine Streets.
