Located on the shores of Lake Michigan in northern Illinois, you'll find 6.5 miles of beautiful beach to stroll upon. This beach features sand dunes, forests, marshes, and plenty of wildflowers.
Besides the magnificent beach, this state park features trails, camping, and so much more.
Illinois Beach State Park takes up over 4,000 acres of land in total, so you'll have plenty of room to feel secluded.
This beach is also a swimming beach, so don't be afraid to take a peaceful dip!
There's plenty of wildlife at this gorgeous state park. In fact, over 650 different species have been spotted here.
