1. Lakeview
Situated on the north side of the city, this affluent neighborhood is right along the lake, allowing for some of the most amazing views in the city. You'll still see plenty of skyscrapers from here, as well as enjoy a variety of boutique shops, rustic restaurants, and other trendy things to do.
2. Hyde Park
This historic neighborhood is also along the shores of Lake Michigan, located south of the Loop. It is home to Promontory Park and Jackson Park, as well as many historic landmarks.
3. Wicker Park
Right along the Blue Line on Chicago's west side is one of the city's most popular neighborhoods. It is located in West Town and this urban area is full of its own historic architecture to enjoy.
4. Uptown
Back up north is this busy burrow. Also situated along the lake, it is far enough from downtown that you can see most of the skyline. There are gorgeous beaches and parks to explore here.
5. West Loop
Part of the near west side, this neighborhood enjoys a branch of the Chicago River atop some of the best views of the city. Many prominent businesses and business people call this area home for good reason.
6. River North
In addition to being one of Chicago's most beautiful neighborhoods, this may also be the most exciting. With the shiny skyscrapers, lovely riverwalk, shops and art on Michigan Avenue, and famous architectural structures, locals love living here.
7. Pilsen
This west side neighborhood is one of cultural diversity, making it unique and intriguing. This colorful burrow is home to artists who fill the streets with work representing their identity and activism.
8. Logan Sqaure
Located on the west side, this charming neighborhood is a wonderful place for Chicagoans of all ages. Hip restaurants and unique stores keep this place alive and well, even into the night when the neighborhood glows with activity.
9. Lincoln Square
This charming northern neighborhood is known for festivals, trendy restaurants, and other cultural experiences. The square itself is a vintage oasis of shops, cafes, and other businesses.
10. Lincoln Park
There's no arguing that this is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Chicago. It is home to one of the only free zoos in the world and its location along the lake really makes it stand out. Residents and tourists alike can't get enough of this corner of Chicago.
11. Edgewater
Situated along Lake Michigan, this is another of the city's northern neighborhoods. It is home to several beaches, high-rises, and parks that allow for incredible photo opportunities.
12. The Loop
Of course, no neighborhood could possibly beat the beauty found in Chicago's most popular neighborhood. Also known as downtown, everything that makes our city great can be found here. Stunning parks, the lakefront, skyscrapers, artwork, and historical pieces abound.
