The movie Caddyshack is a comedy from 1980 that starred Michael O'Keefe, Chevy Chase, Rodney Dangerfield, Ted Knight, and Bill Murray. In honor of the cult classic film, a brand new Caddyshack restaurant has opened in Rosemont that will immerse you right into a golf-inspired paradise.
Whether you love the film or just love good eats, this amazing diner will have something for you. Scroll on to see what the hype for this new place is all about.
Murray Bros. Caddyshack is located in the northwest Chicago suburb of Rosement, near O'Hare, and is attached to the Crowne Plaza.
The concept for the restaurant arose from a simple idea. The film, written by Brian Doyle-Murray, was inspired by the youth of the Murray brothers, of which there are six, who grew up in the North Shore area of Chicago and worked as caddies over the summers at the local private country club. The eatery combines all those pieces of history into one amazing diner.
You won't find an upscale country club atmosphere here, though. The interior is casual and decorated with golf and movie memorabilia you won't be able to stop looking around at.
Bill Murray himself even showed up for the grand opening.
The menu is eclectic and full of American fare and pub favorites like burgers, ribs, wings, pasta, soup, and salads.
Doesn't this look amazing?
The Caddyshack restaurant is open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Come enjoy the family-friendly laid back atmosphere that Midwesterners love.
Murray Bros. Caddyshack is located at 9546 Balmoral Avenue in Rosemont, and you can get more information on its website here.
