It doesn’t matter how old you are, there is something magical about breakfast. Here at OnlyInYourState, we love visiting the restaurants throughout Idaho that serve delicious breakfast dishes and located in Treasure Valley is one of our favorites — Waffle Love. This family-friendly restaurant specializes in one thing — waffles. The dough here is unforgettable, the variety of options is excellent, and the family memories will last a lifetime. You’ll love it here.
Waffle Love got its start in 2012 by serving delicious waffles at the Provo Farmers Market in Utah. This venture eventually turned into a food truck and then a brick-and-mortar restaurant. It has since expanded to several states including Idaho. Today, there are two locations in Idaho: Boise and Meridian.
Waffle Love doesn’t serve a mediocre waffle. This restaurant is known for liege waffles where each item starts off with a dough ball – not a bowl of batter. Ingredients are also imported, creating a more unique dish.
You can find a variety of both sweet and savory waffles on the menu. And no matter which type you order, make sure you are hungry — these waffles are not small.
For something savory, you’ll have options such as the chicken avocado tartine, chicken bacon ranch sandwich, avocado toast, and the breakfast plate featuring eggs, bacon, avocado, and a waffle.
I’m always drawn to sweets and there are plenty of options on the menu. The Founder’s Favorite is a must-try dish featuring a Liege waffle with Biscoff (cookie butter) and homemade whipped cream. You may also want to try the churro waffle, strawberries and cream, and Nutella love.
You can always build your own waffle and kid-size waffles are available. In Boise, you’ll also want to try the Boise Blue, a waffle topped with homemade blueberry-lime jam and whipped cream.
