I love a summer day at the lake. However, some of my favorite lakes can become quite crowded, putting a damper on my day of fun. That’s why a day trip to Crystal Lake is lovely. Located near St. Marie’s in northern Idaho, this isn’t a large lake but it’s beautiful and lesser-known, making it perfect for a summer day of peace and quiet. However, to reach the lake, you’ll need to put on your hiking shoes. You’ll have a 2.8-mile out-and-back trail to conquer before you reach the lake.
Located in the Crystal Lake Wilderness Study Area in northern Idaho is Crystal Lake. A visit to this little-known lake in Idaho will put a smile on your face and fill your soul with happiness.
The trailhead is located off Forest Road 613. Keep in mind that to reach the trailhead, you will want a high-clearance, 4-wheel-drive vehicle.
