Have you ever been on the road and in a hurry, only to hear your stomach grumble? When you're in a rush on your way to work or an appointment, planning for a quick stop at the store is out of the question. However, there's one destination in North Idaho that truly takes the phrase "convenience store" to heart. In fact, this drive-thru grocery store has no parking lot and visitors are expected to stay inside of their cars. Instead, you simply drive through the store and the employees will gather what you need. This is bound to become your new favorite stop so check it out!
For the last decade, a unique store in Sandpoint has been providing an extreme level of convenience. Express Lane is one of Idaho's few drive-thru grocery stores, and it's bound to become your new favorite spot.
At Express Lane, you won't find a parking lot or even a regular entrance. Instead, the store specifically caters to drive-thru customers. This method of service is a new concept that has been gradually popping up all over the country, even right here in Idaho.
So, how does it work? All you have to do is drive your car right into the store. Store employees will then take your order, accept payment, and gather your items. Once you receive your items, you can drive right on out!
Express Lane carries your typical convenience store items, such as beverages—both alcoholic and non-alcoholic—along with snacks and some grocery items. Everything here is based on speed and it's meant to be an easy and quick experience for the customer.
On the surface, the system behind Express Lane may seem totally bizarre, but it's actually a clever way of serving the Sandpoint community in ways they didn't even know they needed. Try it out and you're bound to be hooked!
Express Lane can be found at 214 S Florence Ave, Sandpoint, ID 83864. They are open from 6:30 am to 10:00 pm Monday through Friday, and 7:00 am to 10:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday.
