Glanbia Cheese Marketplace opened a few years ago in Twin Falls. Glanbia is a global brand that decided to make Idaho the location of their very first retail storefront. That decision makes sense considering Idaho is the third largest producer of dairy in the country.
As soon as you walk through the door, you're greeted by the angelic sight of fridges full of delicious bricks of cheese. Cheese, and only cheese, make up the entirety of the store.
When the store opened in 2015, it was the first time ever that people were able to buy Glanbia cheese from a retail store. For the past 15 years, Glanbia has been dominating "the cheese scene" and has over 80 awards for the quality of their cheeses.
It's likely you've eaten Glanbia cheese without even knowing it. They are considered the largest American Cheese Style maker in the world, and they sell their cheese to different brands...some of which you probably have in your fridge right now.
Glanbia has two processing cheese plants in Gooding and Twin Falls so you can rest assured that the cheese you're enjoying is made locally. In fact, they only use the freshest dairy ingredients such as milk from local dairy farmers in the surrounding communities.
They serve a variety of classic cheeses like cheddar, gouda, swiss, monterey jack, mozzarella, and more. The prices are considered to be very reasonable and comparable to what you'd find in a normal grocery store.
Snacking has never been so easy. Pick up some cheese, crackers, and some sausage and you're all set! The marketplace also sells a variety of cheese-themed shirts, cutting boards, knives, and more.
