Check a calendar in summer or fall and it can seem like there’s a festival in Georgia just about every weekend. From practically all of May to October, there’s something going on somewhere in the Peach State, with small towns and metropolitan areas alike throwing shindigs that are worthy of a visit. One of the best fall festivals in Georgia each year is the Mountain Moonshine Festival, held in the small town of Dawsonville. Dawsonville is home to under 5,000 people, but it has a rich history of moonshine-making. It’s also home to the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame, which hosts fun car shows throughout the year. This year’s Mountain Moonshine Festival will be held from October 27 through October 29, 2023, and it’s going to be a blast.
