Pies are pretty great, aren't they? These sweet treats sure are delectable. Whether you prefer fruit pies, nut pies, or chocolate pies, we have plenty of delicious pies in the Peach State that are just waiting for you to enjoy them. We've gathered up a few of our favorite pie shops in Georgia and arranged them on a road trip for you to enjoy. Check it out:
Unfortunately, Georgia is simply too big for us to have planned a road trip through the entire state, so we're sticking to around the Atlanta area. The trip will take about two hours of driving time and you'll travel right around 60 miles. You can check out the customizable itinerary on Google Maps.

1. Crave Pie Studio: 3107 Main St, Duluth, GA 30096
Crave Pie Studio actually has locations in both Alpharetta and Duluth, but for this trip, we'll start with the Duluth location.
You'll find a variety of mini pies here, with several that are always on the menu, plus a rotating selection of specials. The pies come in 5" and 10" sizes. We love that the small size means you can pick up several to try different flavors without having to feel too overindulgent.
2. The Pie Hole: 1025 Canton St, Roswell, GA 30075
Your next stop is The Pie Hole, which serves up homemade pies out of a charmingly rustic old barn in downtown Roswell.
You'll find a huge array of pies here, and if you're wanting to opt for something a little more meal-like, the shop offers savory pies as well.

3. Pie Bar (Marietta): 60 Powder Springs St, Marietta, GA 30064
The Pie Bar is another spot with two locations. We'll focus on the Marietta branch in this trip, though there's also a store in Woodstock.
You'll find sweet and savory pies here as well. The bourbon chocolate pie is incredible. Want to try your hand at making your own pies? The Pie Bar regularly offers pie-making classes where you can learn to craft your own crust.
4. Buttermilk Sky Pie Shop: 4600 Roswell Rd C130, Sandy Springs, GA 30342
Whether you're looking for a mini one-serving treat or a massive pie to share with family (or gorge out on by yourself, we won't judge), Buttermilk Sky Pie Shop is the spot for you.
There are so many flavors to enjoy here, from Southern staples like buttermilk and pecan to seasonal specialties like berries.
5. Southern Sweets Bakery: 186 Rio Cir, Decatur, GA 30030
Southern Sweets Bakery offers up not only delicious desserts, but also has a cafe with sandwiches and salads available. The spot was founded in 1992 by Nancy Cole, who passed away just a few years ago, but her legacy lives on with her tasty fare sold in the shop today.

You'll find lots of offerings here, including vegan and gluten-free choices. There's even a Dessert of the Month subscription club where you can get a dessert delivered right to your door! For more information, check out the Southern Sweets Bakery bakery.
