It’s easy to get so engrossed in our metropolitan dining scenes that you forget to check out some of the more rural restaurants in Georgia. Rural counties comprise much of the state when you consider that a county with fewer than 50,000 residents is considered rural. There are hundreds of restaurants in places like Atlanta and Macon, and the eateries in other areas of the state often don’t get as much press or online attention. But for those of us in the know who love traveling all over the Peach State, there are tons of amazing rural restaurants in Georgia that deserve a visit. Here are just a few of our favorites:

It's a tasty, old-school meat-and-three restaurant, the likes of which can be hard to come by nowadays. This is old-school Southern food, served up buffet-style.
