We're blessed here in Wisconsin to be surrounded by breweries making some of the best beer in the world. We've got an embarrassment of riches and that just means we know good beer when we taste it. These Wisconsin restaurants are serving up massive beer lists alongside their food, giving you a chance to linger and enjoy some of the best beer from Wisconsin and around the world.
No matter where you are in the state you can find restaurants that offer massive amounts of taps, large beer coolers and some of the best selections you'll find anywhere. In no particular order, here are some of the restaurants you should head to if you're looking to expand your beer drinking knowledge:
1. Mogie's Pub - Eau Claire
It's just basic burgers and pub food, but the list of tappers and bottles is impresssive, pulling the best of both Wisconsin and Minnesota.

2. Aqualand Ale House - Boulder Junction
You might not expect to encounter an upscale beer and wine bar this far north, but Aqualand delivers. The beer selection is unrivaled, especially for its location. This place would be a frequent stop for me if I lived in this part of the state!
NOTE: Aqualand is closed until May 2.

3. Arbuckle's
The pizza and Italian fries are reason enough to head here, but they'll keep you coming back with a killer patio and a beer list that makes you want to stop even if you're not hungry.

4. Beer Snobs Ale and Eats - Hartland
With a name like this, they have a lot to live up to and they deliver. At least 20 beers on tap and a long list of bottles, plus delicious food including appetizers and burgers.

5. Craftsman Table and Tap - Middleton
This place is the best of both worlds. With 18 tap lines and more than two dozen bottles, you'll never get sick of the beer selection. Add to that their seasonal, locally sourced menu and I'm not sure why you'd go anywhere else!

6. Thrive Foodery - Wausau
This chef-owned restaurant lists their source farms right on the wall. The food is thoughtful and innovative and pairs so well with their varied and abundant beer selection.

7. Houdini's Escape - Appleton
Fourteen rotating taps plus a big bottle selection make Houdini's a must-visit place in Appleton. Enjoy $1 off Wisconsin bottles on Thursdays and don't forget to check out their vintage cocktail list, as well.

8. Bier Zot
This Belgian-style beer cafe offers not just 11 drafts, but a cask and more than 100 bottles of beer to add to their European-style menu and amazing brunch.

9. The Barn - Baraboo
You might be tempted to drive right on by, but you'd be doing yourself a disservice. Whether you're hiking nearby or vacationing in the Dells, this is a great place to stop for a beer out on their patio.

10. The Old Fashioned - Madison
There are 51 beers on tap and another 79 available in cans or bottles. They have late night specials and the current beer of the month is New Glarus' amazing Belgian Red for a ridiculous $3. And we haven't even talked about the food. Don't think about skipping the curds. Really, just go now.

11. Bodega Brewpub - LaCrosse
Bodega boasts a selection of 400 beers from around the world. Sounds like a challenge, honestly!

12. Bernie's Taproom - Waukesha
With 28 beers on tap and another dozen more in bottles and cans, the ever-rotating beer list at Bernie's is reason enough to head west from Milwaukee.

13. Stubby's Gastropub - Milwaukee
With an epic 53 beers on tap, Stubby's is worth a trek to Milwaukee's east side. You might have a bit of trouble finding it tucked along the river, but the search is oh-so-worth-it. Be sure to ask about their cellar to see what kind of special brews you might be able to have access to.

14. Sloopy's Alma Mater - LaCrosse
Dozens of taps and the famous Big Ten burger make Sloopy's the kind of place you go back to again and again.

15. The Crafty Cow - Oconomowoc
This hidden gem in lake country is so popular they've expanded down to Bay View as well. With 20 taps that include two dedicated to cider and another two for Nitro pulls, you'll never get sick of the special beer they offer here.
