Located in an old, renovated barn, this place is a sprawling complex with a restaurant and banquet facility that's set in the most glorious location. Set right along one of the lakes that breaks off from the Mississippi River in this part of the state, the Barn is a restaurant like none you've ever experienced. The barn used to house this restaurant was truly massive and it's been lovingly restored to create a magical dining experience.
This once shabby, dilapidated and rundown barn has been transformed.
The very best part is the wall of windows that bring tons of natural light into the space and give diners magnificent views.
But you really have to see the inside to get the full effect of what a spectacular renovation this was. There is so much original woodwork and you'll love looking up at the soaring ceiling to see all the wood beams. Without the name, I'm not sure anyone would believe this was once a run-down old farm building. Now it's a stunning, chic, welcoming and cozy spot you'll want to return to again and again.
With sweeping views over the river to the west, it's unsurprising that the sunsets here are beyond words. Just imagine your meal being accompanied by this show that Mother Nature puts on every night.
