There are many instances when a popular restaurant doesn’t live up to its hype. However, that’s not the case with Stockholm Pie and General Store. The small town gem serves up a tasty fare, including what is arguably the world’s best pie. Take a look:
A small town that’s big on charm, Stockholm is home to several antique stores and quaint shops.
It’s also home to Stockholm Pie and General Store.
The combination restaurant and general store looks absolutely delightful from the outside.
Just as charming on the inside, Stockholm Pie and General Store looks like something from a Hallmark movie.
But there’s more to the small town gem than its appearance.
There’s also its mouthwatering fare.
The eatery is known for its delightful lunch menu, which includes incredible sandwiches and savory pot pies – among other home-cooked dishes.
In addition to its mouthwatering lunches, Stockholm Pie and General Store has garnered a reputation for another reason – its pies.
And just like everything else served at the eatery, the pies are handmade from scratch.
Sure to please your palate, the pies have won numerous awards over the years. What’s more, they’ve been repeatedly ranked among the best in the country – and in 2012, Gourmet Magazine included the pies in its list of the best things in the world to eat.
Offering something for all tastes, the pie selection includes a variety of fruit-filled pies as well as cream pies.
You can purchase just a slice of pie or an entire one. If you’re planning on buying a whole pie, you should call about 24 – 48 hours in advance since the tasty pies are known to sell out.
Pies aren’t the only way to satisfy your sweet tooth. Cinnamon rolls, cookies, and other baked treats are also part of the sweet selection.
A general store only adds to the reasons to love this Stockholm gem.
The old-fashioned shop is brimming with great merchandise, including cheeses, foods, treats, chocolate, artisan brews, and Wisconsin-crafted wines.
Visit Stockholm Pie and General Store daily 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. For more information, call (715) 442-5505. You can also check out the eatery’s website or Facebook page.
