Not all ice cream shops are created equal…and if you need proof, just pay a visit to Door County Ice Cream Factory and Sandwich Shoppe.
A Sister Bay staple, it’s been serving up tasty sweets and eats since in 1992; however, the building that houses it has been around much longer.
It was built in 1912!
During those early years, the structure became synonymous with excellent food. That reputation lives on to this day and comes in the form of handmade super-premium ice cream.
Not only is the ice cream made on site, but there are more than 30 flavors to choose from.
The sweet selection doesn’t end there, though.
The delectable menu boasts a spectrum of sweets, which includes everything from classics, like sundaes, to specialty ice cream treats.
Sure to satisfy cravings of all kinds, the menu also features homemade pizza, soups, salads, and more than 15 sandwiches.
Its reputation isn’t the only thing that’s remained the same, though. The interior boasts lots of nods to the past, including wood booths, like those commonly found in soda fountains of the past.
Lots of old photographs from the turn of the last century adorn the walls and only add to the old-fashioned vibe.
So, are you ready to plan a visit to this undeniably sweet gem?
