In the tiny unincorporated community of Nebo in Clay County, you'll find an unlikely spot to get amazing homemade pizza and ice cream. What started as a hobby for one family has turned into a restaurant in their backyard... and it's worth a trip!
Pizzas and Cream is located on a beautiful property owned by the Miller family.
Coming here, you'll feel like you're enjoying a meal right in a friend's backyard!
The restaurant can be a little hard to find for some GPS systems, but signs will help show you the way.
The pizzas are made in an outdoor wood-fired brick oven for a unique taste.
The brick oven was built as a hobby project by owner Ed Miller in his backyard. Ed and his wife Joy and son Stephen began creating their own style of pizzas, and soon friends and family were urging them to open a business.
You can enjoy your pizza in the outdoor seating area, right next to the garden where vegetables are grown.
Some of the tomatoes on your pizza might come from just a few feet away!
The freshness adds a lot of depth to the flavor.
Enjoy the simple flavors of the "Gourmet 4 Cheese Margherita" pizza with with fresh basil right from the garden.
Or try something more elaborate, like one of the specialty pizzas.
This one is the cheeseburger pizza.
Don't forget the "Cream" part pf the name. You can indulge in homemade ice cream and gelato.
This treat is the "Peach Cobbler" ice cream, made with real peach cobbler that was baked in the wood-fired oven.
Despite the remote location, this place can be quite popular!
Plan a little extra time for your visit, and enjoy the scenic and friendly atmosphere.
The restaurant is cash or check only, so be sure to prepare before you make the trip.
