It can be fun to visit the newest restaurant in town, but often you want to visit your tried and true favorites. It's great to know you can count on a restaurant that has stood the test of time. These restaurants have become such a part of their community that it's hard to imagine the town without them.
1. Cam's Ham, Huntington
Cam's Ham was founded in the 1950s and has been owned by the same family for over 30 years. People drive from other states just to get a taste of a Cam's Ham sandwich.
2. Poky Dot, Fairmont
This little diner in Fairmont is hard to miss. They are known for their enormous portions and creative displays of food.
3. Diehl's, Nitro
Dielh's has been a favorite in Nitro for years. They serve homestyle food and have extremely loyal customers.
4. Jim's Steak and Spaghetti, Huntington
Jim's Steak and Spaghetti restaurant has been serving the Huntington area since 1938. Their spaghetti sauce is famous and has been enjoyed by Huntington residents, tourists, and celebrities for decades.
5. Coleman's Fish Market, Wheeling
This is the best place to get a fish sandwich in Wheeling, and maybe all of West Virginia. Coleman's has been a part of the market district since 1914.
6. Jim's Drive-in, Lewisburg
This classic drive-in has been serving up amazing burgers and hot dogs since the early 1950s.
7. Mario's Fishbowl, Morgantown
This is the classic place in Morgantown to meet friends for a beer and watch the Mountaineers game.
8. North End Tavern, Parkersburg
This is thought to be the oldest restaurant in West Virginia, first opened in 1899. It has definitely stood the test of time! They are known for the NET burger, and it's a must try.
9. The Char, Beckley
This steakhouse in a beautiful setting has been open since 1965. You can enjoy steak, seafood, and wine.
10. Graziano's Pizza, Charleston and South Charleston
This family owned and operated pizza shop has been open for more than 40 years. People say the New York style pizza is the best in West VIrginia.
