1. Woodburn Shanks, 1616 Earl L Core Rd, Morgantown, WV

Woodburn Shanks barbecue is smoked over locally sourced hickory and cherry wood and served with a sweet sauce on the side. Their sweet sauce is tomato/molasses based and they also have a Carolina sauce for those who know and love Carolina BBQ. Watch their website for their food truck route, coming soon.
2. Baby B's Barbecue, 200 Buffalo Street, Mannington, WV
In an unassuming stone and brick building on the corner of Buffalo and Washington Streets in the tiny town of Mannington, WV, you’ll find Baby B’s Barbecue. A "business inside a business," Baby B’s is located just inside Crystal's Custom Creations at 200 Buffalo Street. All of Baby B’s food is authentic, smoked barbecue, done on hickory wood. Visitors to Baby B’s also get to indulge in some "retail therapy" after their meal - checking out the variety of antiques, primitives, candles and other items for sale.
3. Smoke 'em If You Got 'em BBQ, 585 5th St W, Huntington, WV
Located across the street from the Midway Drive-In in West Huntington, Smoke 'Em If You Got 'Em is a quaint little barbecue shack which first opened its doors in May, 2015. Owner Shawn Kennedy had been cooking barbecue and catering for several years before deciding to open his own restaurant. Their Facebook page boasts: "Purveyors of fine swine and divine bovine!"
4. Hickory House, 1137 US Hwy 19 N, Jane Lew, WV
Hickory House in quaint Jane Lew, WV is an old-fashioned smokehouse dishing up plentiful portions of delicious sandwiches and BBQ platters. Their website claims: The hickory wood makes it gooood!
5. Earth Dog Café, 389 S. Washington Street, Berkeley Springs, WV

Next time you’re in Berkeley Springs, WV, stop in to the Earth Dog Café. This eco-friendly restaurant is in a funky old storefront which has been adapted into a down to earth barbecue joint with live music. Diners can enjoy pulled pork and beef brisket that is hearty, flavorful, carefully seasoned and cooked for the peak of flavor.
6. Ridgeview Barbecue, 5010-1 Fairlawn Avenue, Institute, WV
With a long history of taking their recipes on the road, traveling in and around the state of WV, RidgeView Barbecue opened their brick and mortar location here in August, 2011. It is family owned and operated, and open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Being closed on the weekends allows them to continue to travel to festivals and catering events around the state. Their website boasts awesome reviews, so check them out.
7. Baby Blues Barbeque, 608 N Main St, Moorefield, WV
Previously called "Blues Smoke Pit," Baby Blues has a pretty impressive exterior, massive, with a worn barn feel. The sign hanging out front says simply "Blues." Visitors give high marks for the pulled pork sandwich, awesome brisket and live music.
8. Dirty Ernie’s Rib Pit, 310 Keller Avenue, Fayetteville, WV

Fayette County, WV is not only home to world-class whitewater rapids, but also a legendary rib joint. Just a quarter mile from the New River Gorge Bridge on U.S. Route 19 sits a tourist favorite—Dirty Ernie’s. A reviewer on their Facebook page claims: "Ribs are some of the best I've had, prime rib and brisket is top notch! And the Devil’s Hole Chili is worth every penny."
