Bring your appetite, because Hillbilly Hot Dogs serves the most impressive meals around -- including a massive 1-pound hot dog. You may need to enlist the help of some friends. You're going to love visiting this huge hot dog restaurant in West Virginia.
Hillbilly Hot Dogs is famous in West Virginia not only for its jovial treatment of a certain stereotype, but for its huge food portions.
Chief among them being The Homewrecker, a 1-pound, 15-inch hot dog that would be hard for anyone to consume. But many try anyway.
At Hillbilly Hot Dogs, if you can eat the whole thing in 12 minutes, you get a commemorative T-shirt showing you met the challenge the restaurant offers. Beat the current record, and your meal is free.
But the The Homewrecker is not the only large portion they offer. This is the Triple Wide 30-pound burger, the largest of three mega-burgers they offer, intended to serve 50 people. The single wide and double wide are 5 pound and 17 pounds, respectively.
And while not every customer comes in to take the Homewrecker challenge, plenty sure do come to try the other hot dogs and burgers on the menu, not to mention the subs, sandwiches, sides and desserts. The menu serves no less than 55 different hot dogs and 14 burgers.
If you are in the mood not only for good food, but a true West Virginia dining experience, this is the place to go. Hillbilly Hot Dogs is located at 6951 Ohio River Rd. in Lesage, just northeast of Huntington.
