Lady Jaye is a delightful little smokehouse that opened last year, and this year, they've found a way to navigate current conditions perfectly and still serve you a hearty meal. Lady Jaye is located in the quiet, peaceful West Seattle neighborhood, in the West Seattle Junction.
The little eatery sits hidden in between two larger structures, but it's easy to spot thanks to the signs out front.
Lady Jaye opened last summer, instantly becoming one of the neighborhood's hot spots.
The smokehouse is a collaboration between Sara Rosales, Tyler Palagi, Evan Carter, and Charlie Garrison, who all have extensive restaurant industry experience and own several other local spots.
When you first arrive, you'll probably smell the delicious food instantly.
The 2,000 pound smoker sits out back, and it gets a lot of use.
Here, everything is applewood smoked, and it's exceptional.
The process of smoking meat slowly makes the meat more tender and flavorful.
Normally, Lady Jaye has a pretty substantial menu, which includes a long list of sides and salads in addition to plenty of meat options.
Here, everything is made from scratch using the best quality ingredients, and you'll taste the difference.
If you imbibe, make sure to order a cocktail or two to enjoy with your meal. They're locally famous.
They also tend to be on the strong side, but you won't mind.
Currently, Lady Jaye is offering a daily Meat 'N Three menu.
There are always three of the same entrees on the menu, along with a special that rotates every day. In addition, you'll get to choose three mouthwatering sides like Smoked Jalapeno Kale Caesar Salad and Yukon Gold Horseradish Potato Salad.
Needless to say, the Meat 'N Three menu offerings will probably leave you with a lot of leftovers.
The 1/2 lb. smoked burgers alone are hearty enough for two meals... but no one will judge you if you finish.
The team at Lady Jaye has set up the back patio to provide some delightful socially distant dining.
