With another holiday season on the horizon, it's time to plan a few special events to celebrate. Every year, Pierce County Parks and Recreation sponsors the largest holiday drive-thru display in the Northwest... and if you've never checked out Fantasy Lights, you really should. Gather up the family and get ready to enter a world of twinkling spectacle. There's so much to discover at the largest drive-thru light show in Washington.
Fantasy Lights is held at Spanaway Park, which is located at 14905 Bresemann Blvd. South in Spanaway.
From November 28 - January 1, this peaceful park turns into a winter wonderland. The magical displays will put a twinkle in your eye. This is one of the best things to do with kids at Christmas in Washington.
From 5:30 p.m. until 9 p.m., you can cruise through the park and see thousands of sparkling lights.
There are nearly 300 elaborate displays.
This beautiful 2-mile drive has become a holiday tradition for many Washington families.
While you'll always see plenty of classic Christmas scenes, each year there are new displays to enjoy, such as rocket ships and sea turtles. Who knows what this year will have in store? With so many new additions, it's easy to see why Fantasy Lights remains the best place to see Christmas lights in Washington.
While you drive through the park, you can listen to holiday music on 95.3 FM.
Admission is $14 per vehicle and $45 for a bus, although you can enjoy a few special discount nights on December 1-5. To learn more about Fantasy Lights, visit their website here.
While it's always more fun to see it in person, you can watch a video of the experience from a few years ago, courtesy of Tricia Rivera:
