Port Angeles has some great restaurants, which makes sense considering its close proximity to the San Juan Islands and its access to fresh coastal cuisine. And if you love it when a little bit of history is served with your meal, look no further than Dupuis Restaurant. This century-old eatery has truly stood the test of time, and it's better than ever.
You'll find Dupuis Restaurant right on US-101 in Port Angeles.
The eatery was established in 1920, so it recently celebrated its 100th birthday.
This quirky little cabin, which has been painted a cheerful yellow, served as a tavern when it first opened.
And while its days as a tavern are long gone, it still evokes a feeling of nostalgia.
Stepping inside this place feels like going back in time in the best way.
This place is no-frills but nice, cozy, and intimate, and a perfect place to forego technology and enjoy the moment.
While seafood isn't the only thing on the menu, it's certainly the star of the show here.
The fish & chips are made from beer-battered Pacific cod and come with fries or onion rings.
If Dupuis has Dungeness Crab when you go, order it.
It's always fresh and delicious.
If you're craving something other than seafood, try a steak, salad, or pasta.
And whatever you order, just make sure to save room for dessert.
Dupuis Restaurant is currently open Wednesday - Saturday from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. for dinner service.
Indoor dining is available, and if you'd rather get your dinner to-go, the takeout menu has some tasty options.
It isn't every day you'll see a century-old yellow cabin with some of the tastiest seafood in Washington awaiting you inside. Had you ever heard of Dupuis?
