If there's one thing Washington does right, it's wine -- in fact, Walla Walla was just named the best wine region in the U.S. for the second consecutive year. But if you're a fan of wine tasting, you're already aware that it can make you quite hungry. Luckily, Woodinville's DeLille Cellars just announced the opening of an on-site restaurant, and so far the reviews are outstanding.
DeLille Cellars is located on NE 145th Street in Woodinville, in the former Old Redhook Brewery building.
The winery has a portfolio of more than a dozen Bordeaux and Rhone style blends, and both the reds and whites are exceptional.
The property is beautiful, with plenty of places to taste.
Guests can reserve a seated tasting experience and order snacks, such as cheese plates, to share.
The deck is a popular place to taste in the summertime, with frequent events for club members and the public...
... and now, the Lounge at DeLille Cellars is officially open.
The spacious area has been converted into an elegant modern bistro.
The Lounge is operated by Executive Chef Michael C. Toni, who created a diverse menu.
The menu has everything from salads and small plates to entrees like fresh pasta and steak frites. You'll also see frequent specials on the menu, such as these stuffed squash blossoms with house made ricotta, Spanish chorizo, tomato red wine emulsion and herb creme fraiche.
And of course, everything is made to be paired with DeLille's wine, which your server will be happy to recommend.
They also serve beer and wine by the bottle.
A lighter, more casual menu is also available on The Deck.
This menu was also crafted by Chef Michael, and it doesn't disappoint.
If you like wine and food, you'll love it here. Learn more about the new lounge here.
