If you've never heard of Buckley, Washington, you're not alone. This small city of about 5,000 people is located in Pierce County, about four miles south of Enumclaw. But considering Buckley's latest coffee and wine bar offers a perfect patio with views of Mt. Rainier, surprisingly sophisticated snacks, and some enviable wine slushies, it might be time to take a little road trip.
Blue Rooster first opened its doors in March of 2021, so it hasn't had long to impress the locals.
However, it has certainly managed to do so -- this is already a favorite spot.
It's brave to open a business like this after a year of uncertainty --but now that nearly everyone is gathering again, it's going to become immensely popular.
After all, it's always nice to get big city food at small town prices.
The patio here is enchanting at night, but it's equally as inviting by day.
It's the perfect place to relax and unwind with a special companion (or a good book).
In the morning, this place is a coffee bar, serving all kinds of caffeinated beverages and pastries made by a local bakery...
... but in the evenings, it has a more lounge-type vibe.
Regardless, this place is an all-ages hangout any time of day.
There's just something ridiculously indulgent about a wine slushy, and whatever it is, we love it.
Blue Rooster starts serving them when the weather gets warm, and they are a perfect summer treat.
Hungry? The charcuterie board here will not disappoint.
And if the full-sized charcuterie looks like too much, just order the mini.
Blue Rooster also serves several flat breads, pizzas, and small bites.
They're open Monday - Thursday from 9 a.m. - 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday until 8 p.m., and they stay closed on Sundays.
Have you heard of Blue Rooster? If you're planning on visiting Mount Rainier this year, check this place out.
