Vintage Virginia Apples, the site of Albemarle Cider Works, was once the place to go to find unique varieties of apples. 2. Castle Hill Cider (Keswick)

3. Bold Rock Hard Cider (Nellysford)

Situated on a mountain overlook, Bold Rock Hard Cider is the perfect place for visitors of age to sample a variety of hard ciders. There's even a tasting menu that offers delicious snacks that happen to pair perfectly with the drinks. Address:

4. Morris Orchard (Monroe)

In addition to apples, this gorgeous, family-owned farm also produces pumpkins, blackberries, blueberries, strawberries and peaches. When you visit, you'll not only get the opportunity to explore the farm, but you'll also get to sample to fresh-pressed cider. Address: 226 Tobacco Row Ln

5. Hollin Farms (Delaplane)

Hollin Farms has been in operation since the early 1950s. The farm specializes in local beef as well as other fine produce. This time of the year, that translates into delicious apples. When you visit Hollin Farms, you can sample some of their incredible homemade cider. Address: 1410 Snowden Rd

6. Blue Bee Cider Mill (Richmond)

7. Big Fish Cider Co. (Monterey)
