With so many restaurants in Virginia that have already been established, it seems like there can't possibly be any new ones to try. And yet, we're constantly amazed by the innovative, eclectic, and downright impressive spots that continue to open up each and every year. If you're looking for a new restaurant to try, we'd recommend taking a trip to Harry's at Hofheimer in Richmond, Virginia. This modern speakeasy in Scott's Addition offers an immersive atmosphere, creative drinks, and delicious small plates that will keep you coming back for seconds.
Scott's Addition is famous for its trendy restaurants, and now, there's another to add to the list: Harry's at Hofheimer.
According to the website, the restaurant draws its name from two famous Harrys of the Roaring '20s, Harry Craddock and Harry MacElhone, both of whom were famous for their mixology skills.
Therefore, it's only fitting that Harry's in RVA be dedicated to delicious, creative, and innovative cocktails.
The moment you set foot inside, you'll feel as though you've been transported to the days of speakeasies.
There are several enticing drinks to sample, such as Harry's 28, which features Virago Gin, grapefruit juice,
cardamom bitters, simple syrup, and bubbly.
Of course, the food is equally delicious. It's the kind of place where you can order lots of small plates to share with the group.
The "Breads + Spreads" is a popular choice. It comes with crostinis which can be dipped in Taleggio pimento, roasted garlic hummus, and roasted green
tomato Goddess dip.
Other offerings include pork belly biscuits, croquettes, hand pies, and more. Or, if you're looking for something a little more substantial, you can order the pimento grilled cheese or Harry's Famous Burger.
There are a handful of delicious entrees as well for those looking for a more traditional meal. The coffee-rubbed steak and frites or the mushroom leek risotto come highly recommended.
So whether you're looking for a new place to grab drinks with friends or you simply love exploring Richmond's dining scene, you'll be glad you stopped by Harry's.
