That's right, these great places are not only affordable and delicious, they are unbelievably convenient since you only have to pull over and order. 1. Two Neanderthals Smokin' BBQ - 361 River Street, Springfield

Simply put, this is the best pulled pork and brisket sandwich you'll ever eat. Here you'll find two hardworking guys (not Neanderthals) who make delicious food that they obviously take great pride in.

2. Erdimea’s - 1888 US Rte 5 N, Windsor

You'll find Erdimae's in the side lot of Brown's gas station, next to the junkyard. Not the spot you'd think of for great food, but take the time to stop if you're driving by. The grilled cheese and tomato sandwich is so good you'll be telling all your friends about this little roadside gem.

3. Caja Madera - 154 Rte 15 W, Hardwick

The tacos here are as good as they look, and you won't want to miss them before they move, or rather drive, away after the season!

4. Cajun's Snackbar - 1594 VT Route 100, Lowell

This second generation run family business has been delighting locals for many years. The food is always great, service fast and friendly and a guaranteed hit with the whole family.

5. Chef Brad's Crazy Side - Quechee

The locals will all tell you this is a must-stop place when you're in the area. Be sure to get a side of crispy onion rings - yum!

6. The White Cottage Snack Bar - 863 W Woodstock Road, Woodstock

We can't decide what's better here - the food or the location. A river swimming hole next to a great snack bar?! That's a Home Run!

7. Whippi Dip - 158 US Route 5 N, Fairlee

The locally sourced meat, hand-built smokers and homemade sauces and rubs make this roadside stop some of the best BBQ in all of Vermont. It's worth the trip!

8. Curtis's BBQ- 7 Putney Landing Road, Putney

You'll love this BBQ stop and you'll see Curtis, the man himself, making the legendary dishes right there.

9. Taco Gordo - 2 Chruch Street, Burlington

The food cart scene on Church Street is epic and Taco Gordo is a guaranteed to please stop. Who says tacos are only for Tuesdays?

10. Burger Barn - Jeffersonville

Always fresh and packed high with toppings, the burgers here are incredible. You'll love the Nutty goat which has maple candied walnuts, bacon, goat cheese and caramelized onions. It might sound a little weird at first, but trust us, it works.

11. Seb's Snack Bar - Route 2 And South Street, South Hero

From the fries to the creemees, island living has never been so delicious. This stop in South Hero is mouth watering good!
