Well, get ready to fall in love all over again the moment you taste the scrumptious delights from Poorhouse Pies in Underhill. Here, you'll not only find mouth-watering pies, but the self-service and honor system shed embody all that we love about Vermont and the people who live here. Let's take a look at this one-of-a-kind place.
Welcome to Poorhouse Pies!
The hours of operation for these world famous pies: Daylight.
The "winter pie shed" in front of the bakery is available during the colder months.
Take a peek inside and conduct your business - honor system style.
You'll know if there are pies there by a "Yup" or "Nope" sign on the front.
If it's too cold and the pies will freeze, head over to the bakery door.
Be sure to check to see if the light is on. If it is, go on in!
Simply put: Pie fixes everything.
The "summer shed" is located at the south end of the property and has two refrigerators to keep the pies from humidity and critters.
Regular and cream pies are available there from about 9:00am till dusk.
The winter shed also has a bank box to deposit your cash or checks.
We love this note left at Poorhouse Pies.
