Vermont is bursting at the seams with amazing local breweries perfecting their craft. Walk into any bar or restaurant and you'll find many of them on tap. But to experience these craft beers from the source, make a trip to their breweries.
1) 14th Star Brewing Company - Saint Albans
14th Star is a veteran-owned Vermont craft brewery that creates world-class beers served throughout Vermont, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York.
2) Whetstone Station - Brattleboro
Whetstone Station visitors can enjoy the views year round from inside their beautiful fire lit dining room. When nicer weather allows, catch great views of the Connecticut River dining on their famous outdoor patio.
3) Long Trail Brewing - Bridgewater Corners
Long Trail Brewery has been around since 1989. As one of the more seasoned breweries, Long Trail helped put Vermont on the map for the beer scene - proving that maple syrup isn't the only thing we have on tap.
4) The Bobcat Cafe and Brewery - Bristol
Bobcat Cafe & Brewery is located in the heart of downtown Bristol, Vermont. The cozy digs make it feel more like a restaurant/upscale pub than a brewery, but don't be fooled, they still serve amazing craft beers that they brew themselves. And as a bonus, they have an awesome food menu to pair your drinks with.
5) Fiddlehead Brewing Company - Shelburne
The tasting room for Fiddlehead is located inside a warehouse structure with a strong communal feel. Head there with a group or make new ones at one of their large communal dining tables.
6) Ten Bends Beer - Hyde Park
What initially started as a collaboration between two brewers in a shed in the deep north woods of Vermont, has now become a 1400-square foot three barrel brewery. The brewery offers tastings of any of their 5 beers on tap and offers growlers to go.
7) Magic Hat Brewing - South Burlington
A deep love for the arts is embedded in the DNA of this Burlington brewery, which you'll notice in all of their labels, flavors, and in-house bands.
How many of these have you gone to? 1? 5? All of them? Feel free to share with us in the comments and any of the local breweries you love that weren't featured here.
