One of my favorite parts of fall in Vermont is finding the best sweet treats of the season. If it’s not already on your to-do list, add Stine Orchard in Monkton, a 32-acre orchard that offers apple picking and plenty of good eats. But it’s perhaps best known for its famous apple cider donuts, considered by many the best in Vermont.
Visitors have called the fresh apple cider donuts everything from "delicious" and "great" to "heavenly" and "the best in Vermont." Instead of taking their word for it, though, taste for yourself. Stine Orchard is all about freshness, starting with its homemade donuts. Before you take that first bite, breathe in the sweet aroma of the fresh sweet apple cider donut, which pairs oh-so-perfectly with fresh-pressed apple cider or a cider slushy.
